The Better Together project started in Kindersley when deputy Mayor Randy Ervine declared every Tuesday in 2022 to be a Better Together Tuesday in the Town of Kindersley. In the proclamation he states the young and old are increasingly segregated with very limited opportunity to interact. In the spirit of having a vibrant community he encourages everyone to learn more about how great things happen when citizens come together.

Marge Bailey is the driving force behind the Better Together group in Kindersley. They've run mental health workshops, awareness walks, smile cookie week, T-shirt sales, and a snack shack at Goose Fest. Their biggest project to date is due to start in about 24 hours: Canada day celebrations at Baker Park.

"There's something for everyone including dunk tanks, pedal bike races, fireman competitions, Sumo Wrestling, slip n slides, barrel trains, and bouncy castles. Don't forget that we have a performer at 1pm, 3pm and 5pm." She's eluding to Troy McNaughton who will perform at Baker Park on the afternoon of Friday July 1st.

"We have some volunteers at the registration table from 1-3 and then 3-5. It's the same thing in other areas, and we can always use more help. So come check in with us if you can volunteer, or give me a call". Bailey is expecting a big crowd as the weather will be fantastic. With all the people coming to have fun, she's hoping to have a few more directing traffic and helping out in any way that they can. If you can volunteer call her at 306-460-8550 or email to info@kcfhope.com
