The Biggar RCMP had a loaded report to begin March. WestCentralOnline shared one of the major calls to service on Wednesday.

Outside of the report above that Kinley residents surely appreciate, police were kept busy with a litany of other issues, including a hit-and-run to a 2015 Subaru Legacy in a local restaurant parking lot.

"A couple had lunch at Hannigan’s Restaurant (and) their vehicle was run into causing damage to the rear of it. The suspect vehicle left behind pieces of clear light lens. If anyone observed this happening or has any information on what happened, please contact us." stated Biggar detachment commander Sgt. Dereck Crozier.

A couple more calls had to do with damage to vehicles. Police responded after a collision on Highway 4 south, as two vehicles clipped mirrors while driving in poor conditions. Another call saw an SUV tangled up with a deer on Highway 14, and then police also dealt with a scenario where an individuals vehicle was found at the bottom of the ditch along Highway 784.

Police were also called out after reports of a private car sale gone wrong, as things did not go as planned between the buyer and seller. Another dispute took place as a 49-year-old male began throwing a tantrum at the Perdue coop, as the disturbance included the individual yelling at people, revving his engine, and spinning tires before hitting the road back to Biggar.

That wasn't the only call that police received regarding a pedal to the medal. Speeding wasn't even a factor, and police seem to be familiar with the people in question.

"Our unique cluster of common acquaintances were at it again, complaining about each other as one decided a more public display of engine revving and shouting from the street in front of a house would solve the issues of the evening."

The final item on the list was a hefty theft from a local farmyard. Police were alerted to stolen blue roan cattle in Sonningdale, as the investigation is on-going.

Biggar RCMP saw 24 occurrences reported to the detachment in the latest reporting period. Traffic related enforcement saw four tickets handed out, along with six warnings.
