It was a successful weekend for the Kindersley U13 Klippers, as they took home the 2024 U13 Winter Classic at home.

Kindersley managed to knock off Dinsmore in the A final to take home the tournament.

Head Coach of the U13 Klippers Jaymie Holland said the win was extra sweet for the team, as they were knocked off by Dinsmore in a tournament earlier this season.

"It was good for us in two ways, because we had already met them in another tournament in an A final, and they snuck one out on us in a shootout victory. So, we were able to sneak the win back in our favour this time and defeated them 6-3 in the A final."

As for how the team is doing in league play, they are off to a very strong start.

"Right now, we are sitting atop the south division with a 12-1 record. We are looking to compete well in that and hopefully move onto a nice little playoff run," Holland added.

As for more tournaments for the U13 Klippers, Holland said they have one more they plan to attend.

"We have one more away tournament in Prince Albert at the end of February. We are looking forward to that one, it's always nice to get the kids out and play some different teams. They definitely enjoy those ones (tournaments) for sure."

Holland also stated they have announced a provincial team, and they will take to the ice this Wednesday, January 17 at 6:00 pm in Brock, as they will meet Rosetown halfway.
