An early Saturday morning dispatch was just one part of a busy week for the Kindersley Fire Department.

Starting with the weekend call, at 2:03 AM on Saturday the Kindersley Fire Department was dispatched to a scene where a vehicle had collided with various utility equipment. SaskPower and SaskTel joined RCMP and EMS members on scene.

Crews noted vehicles and trees burning upon arrival, also treating minor injuries. According to their Facebook, Kindersley Fire's response included two pumpers, a utility, and command unit.

The fire department remained on scene until it was cleared at 3:45 AM. By 4:33 AM all units were cleared and back in service.

During the week, the local fire department spent time at a local school sharing on fire safety.

Not only did they work with elementary students during the week, local firefighters were part of the P.A.R.T.Y. Program demonstrations on Thursday.

WestCentralOnline was present as the fire department performed a demonstration on their role at an emergency scene. Firefighters never broke character as they simulated the real emergency situation complete with an abrupt entry and exit.

They were just one community group that helped put on the important day of learning. Learn more about P.A.R.T.Y. in the link below.
