It was a tough road trip for the Kindersley Jr. A Klippers over the weekend. The swing started in Flin Flon Friday, and it was a convincing win for the home team by a score of 8-2. Highlighting the game was a goalie fight between Klippers Logan Falk and Bombers Kenneth Marquart as tempers flared between the teams in the third.

Austin Osiowy and Zak Anderson scored for the Klippers in the defeat.

Saturday's game was much closer between the two, as the Klippers managed to tie the score in the second period after falling behind 2-0, with goals by Tylin Hilbig and Kennan Ingram. But the Bombers retook the lead just six seconds later on a goal by Alexi Sylvestre.

Kindersley answered early in the third, as hometown Klipper Cam Perlinger got his second of season to even the score at three. But Sylvestre got his second of the season just under three minutes later and the Bombers held on for a 4-3 win to sweep the two games in Flin Flon. Cody Jaman kept the game respectable for the Klippers, as he made 47 saves on 51 shots in the loss.

The road swing ended in La Ronge yesterday, and the teams were tied 1-1 after the first period with Logan Linklater getting his first of the season for the Klippers. The Ice Wolves then took a two-goal lead on goals by Jaxson Martin and Liam McInnis before Tylin Hilbig continued his hot start, with his 7th of the season to get Kindersley within one heading into the third period. That is as close as the Klippers would come however, as William Forsberg got his third of the season shorthanded to give the Ice Wolves all the insurance they needed, holding on for a 4-2 win. Jaman was busy once again, making 49 saves on 53 shots in the loss.

Kindersley will look to bounce back this weekend, with the first of a home and home series against division rival Humboldt going this Friday at the West Central Events Centre at 7:30 pm. The rematch will be on Saturday at 7:00 pm from the Elgar Pederson Arena in Humboldt.
