Learning first-hand is always beneficial, and this weekend a few local fire departments were part of a special demonstration.
According to the Elrose Fire Department and Ambulance on Facebook it was Mark and Angela Torrance, Layden Jans, and Pierre Coetzee in attendance at the heavy rescue extraction course put on courtesy of Rosetown Fire.
Teams from Rosetown and Kindersley were also in attendance. Judging by photos the vehicle extraction course saw multiple heavy trucks on site, retired school buses, and test-site dummies to help paint a picture for emergency responders in attendance.
"Was great working with other departments. Thanks again to Rosetown for inviting us, it was fun to work along them and the fire fighters that came from Kindersley as well. Another awesome course by Transcare Rescue."
