The town of Kindersley took part in Culture days last weekend which is a celebration of culture across the country.
The event received funding from SaskCulture and a grant from Saskatchewan lotteries, as well as some funding from the town budget in order to host the festivities.

Culture Days began with a creative writing workshop with Carey Rigby-Wilcox at the Kindersley library. The local author read excerpts from her work, and interacted with guests about her experience in writing and publishing books.

The main event on Saturday afternoon was the open studio at the Garden Gallery with Saskatchewan artist Devon Coles, where he showcased his work and gave pottery demonstrations.

Kindersley's Culture Days finished with the K-Town Chowdown, an annual favourite where guests were able to taste several ethnic dishes from different cultures.

The big events had between 100-150 participants from all different age groups.

West Central Online spoke with the Manager of Culture and Heritage Michelle McMillan about what the event means to Kindersley.
