The extreme heat is forecast to begin to ease from west to east beginning on Tuesday.

Extreme heat affects everyone.

The heat is on for West Central Saskatchewan. A heat warning has been issued for this part of the province with temperatures expected to be above 30 for the next few days. 

The extreme heat is expected to continue through the weekend and into the early parts of the week. Temperatures reaching 35 degrees Celsius combined with overnight lows near 16 degrees Celsius are expected for the next 4 days. Temperatures are expected to return to seasonal by the end of next week. 

Heat warnings are issued when very high temperature or humidity conditions are expected to pose an elevated risk of heat illnesses, such as heat stroke or heat exhaustion.

A few signs of heat related illness are: swelling, rash, cramps, fainting, heat exhaustion, heat stroke and the worsening of some health conditions.
