There may be some extra police activity for Thanksgiving weekend, but just recently near Biggar a similar road-side setup helped close out the month of September for Combined Traffic Services Saskatchewan.

Last week the special unit consisting of members from around the province only issued a total of six tickets to people in the area. There were also seventeen warnings handed out.

Police did want to mention a few of the excessive speeds they registered. In one case a Manitoba driver was given a $910 ticket after being caught travelling 160 km/h on Hwy 14. Another motorist was given a $570 for travelling at 140 km/h on Hwy 14.
