In the most recent report of calls from the Unity, Wilkie, and Macklin RCMP detachments, Unity RCMP reported receiving a complaint for comments posted on social media. Members did speak with the subject of complaint, no charges have been laid at this time.

Hilights from the full report are below:

Unity:

  • Members received a request to keep the peace while and individual retrieved personal belongings from a residence.
  • Members assisted Saskatoon Police Service by obtaining a statement from an individual in the Unity area.
  • Police received a complaint of theft of fuel from a local gas station. The matter is still under investigation.
  • CP Police reported a number of cars that derailed in a rural area. There were no injuries and no hazardous materials on site. The train was not blocking any roadways. No police action was required.
  • RCMP received a complaint of harassing communications. Members issues a verbal warning to the subject of complaint.
  • Police received a complaint of assault at a liquor establishment. Members attended and transported the subject of complaints to cells in Battleford where he was lodged until sober. The complainant requested no further action be taken.

Wilkie:

  • RCMP received a report of a vehicle on fire near Wilkie. The fire was extinguished by Wilkie Fire Department. The vehicle could not be identified due to fire damage. There has been insufficient evidence to proceed.
  • Members received a report of possible gunshots but it was unfounded.

Macklin:

  • Police received a complaint of theft of fuel at a gas station. The subject of complaint returned to pay for the fuel. No charges were laid.
  • Members are investigation a report of harassing communications.
