Across Saskatchewan, 40 communities will be coming together to make strides towards a cancer free world.

Terry Fox’s, Marathon of Hope, took place 39 years ago and since then, millions of Canadians come together to celebrate his bravery and to rally behind finding a cure for cancer.

According to the Terry Fox Foundation, last year, residents throughout Saskatchewan raised close to $1 million through The Terry Fox Foundation, adding to the global total of over $750 million.

In the west central region, several communities will be participating in the Terry Fox Run this Sunday, September 15.

Whether residents, walk or run, just showing up at the event to pledge support for the cause can have a significant impact on any single person who has been touched by cancer.
