A wide-variety of calls kept the Biggar RCMP busy in the middle of September.

Back on September 13 they had an individual familiar to police pay the detachment an early morning visit. The subjects in question slashed three member tires before taking off down Queen Street.

Another call saw two suspicious males and their blue SUV wandering around a yard in Eagle Creek. Nothing more came out of that, though rural damage during the week did see a report of damage to the mail boxes in Arlee, a camper trailer parked out at Lydden Lake, and it's noted the Biggar Fire Department dealt with a dumpster blaze at the local CN yard.

One neighbourly complaint came as a 10-year-old was treating and talking to his grandmother in a less than acceptable fashion. Another complaint of a break and enter to a residence in Sonningdale turned out to also be a family estate squabble, with one party trying to use law enforcement to get the upper hand in their civil battle.

As part of five warnings and eight tickets given out, the list included a 14-year-old on a dirt bike in town, and a white Alberta truck found travelling 35 KM over the posted limit for a fine of $562.00. A semi-truck added to the list of wheeled-complaints as the use of 'jake brakes' was disturbing the peace for residents in that area.

Another call concerning heavy equipment came as a milk -hauler was blamed for kicking up a rock that broke through the window of a tractor motoring down Township Road 362, and then the report finished on three wheels as a reported gas n’ dash at the Esso was conducted by an Alberta plated Can Am Spyder.

There were a total of 35 calls for service for the September 18 reporting period.
