The province seems to be banding together to make Wolseley, Saskatchewan the winners of Kraft Hockeyville 2024.

One of the four finalists, Wolseley has a chance to bring the title home to Saskatchewan for the first-time ever. They have been getting support from far-and-wide, including locally in west-central Saskatchewan, as Wilkie residents Helen Urlacher and Kathy Heilman are looking to channel support from their town's previous runs to the Hockeyville finals in 2017 and 2019.

On behalf of the Wolseley Kraft Hockeyville committee, Vance Weber has been reaching out all around the province to try and garner support.

"Eight years ago, Wolseley had no minor hockey system, and the only viable organization using the Wolseley Sportsplex was the Wolseley Skating Club." said Weber.

That has since changed with the addition of a Junior C hockey team, who's success in town led to the immediate re-creation of the Wolseley Minor Hockey Association. With more ice-time on the books, the Sportsplex would use the grand prize of $250,000 in arena upgrades to replace the aging artificial ice system that is into its 40's.

Weber shared that voting is open from 7:00 AM on March 29, until 3:00 PM on March 30. More information is available below, along with a link to the voting page, as you can cast a ballot for Wolseley as many times as you want.
