The Kindersley Jr. Klippers season has came to an abrupt end after a 2-1 loss to the visiting 1st overall Flin Flon Bombers at the WCEC Wednesday night.

After a scoreless first period, once again it was captain Justin Lies getting the visitors on the board in the second period. Carter Anderson and Conor Ryan picked up the helpers.

Both John MacPherson and Harman Laser-Hume were great in the pipes all night, but it was Matt Egan who doubled the lead for the Bombers in the third and things looked bleak for the hometown Klippers. But it was hometown Klipper Cam Perlinger who gave the team hope with a shorthanded marker to make the score 2-1. Kindersley pressed for the equalizer but could not beat the strong Bombers defense, and the visitors held on for the one goal victory to complete the sweep.

The Bombers have now joined the Battlefords North Stars in round two of the SJHL playoffs.
