Unity RCMP came to a swift conclusion on a case from Monday.

A release from Monday stated the following.

"Unity RCMP have charged 35-year-old Christopher Dean Lane of Provost, Alberta with a break and enter and theft after there was a report of a break-in to an oil lease site near the community of Winter on November 27th, 2023." said the release as the subject involved Lane was also charged with possession of stolen copper wire as a result of the thefts.

Other charges stemming from the investigation included the, "possession of a stolen pickup truck, possession of a stolen driver’s license, possession of a stolen license plate, and breaches of two Undertakings for Failing to Keep the Peace and Possession of Ammunition while on an Undertaking not to possess ammunition."

The booking process began on Tuesday as Lane appeared in North Battleford Provincial Court on November 28th, officially remanded into custody until November 30, 2023.
