Winter driving conditions exist in virtually all of the West Central region. Roads around the Unity and Wilkie area remain travel not recommended but all other roads have been upgraded to winter driving conditions.

  • Highway 7 icy and slippery sections from Saskatoon to the Alberta Border - winter conditions exist
  • Highway 14 from Wilkie until the Alberta Border- upgraded to winter driving conditions 
  • Highway 31 & 51 has been upgraded to winter conditions exist 
  • Highway 21 has been upgraded to winter driving conditions except around the Unity area
  • Highway 4 Swift Current to Rosetown - winter conditions exist
  • Highway 4 Rosetown North to Biggar - has been upgraded to winter conditions exist
  • Highway 44 - winter conditions, slippery sections

Winter driving conditions exist in virtually all of the West Central region, and roads around the Wilkie, Unity and Macklin area remain under travel not recommended at this time. 

  • Highway 7 icy and slippery sections from Saskatoon to the Alberta Border - winter conditions exist
  • Highway 14 from Wilkie until the Alberta Border- travel not recommended
  • Highway 31 & 51 has been upgraded to winter conditions exist except around the Biggar area
  • Highway 21 has been upgraded to winter driving conditions except around the Unity area
  • Highway 4 Swift Current to Rosetown - winter conditions exist
  • Highway 4 Rosetown North to Biggar - has been upgraded to winter conditions exist
  • Highway 44 - winter conditions, slippery sections

Things are slowly starting to improve in the West Central region, but many roads are icy and dangerous still. 

  • Highway 7 icy and slippery sections from Saskatoon to the Alberta Border - winter conditions exist
  • Highway 14 from Wilkie until the Alberta Border- travel not recommended
  • Highway 31 & 51 has been upgraded to winter conditions exist
  • Highway 21 has been upgraded to winter driving conditions except around the Unity area
  • Highway 4 Swift Current to Rosetown - winter conditions exist
  • Highway 4 Rosetown North to Biggar - has been upgraded to winter conditions exist
  • Highway 44 - winter conditions, slippery sections

UPDATE: November 3rd, 2022, 6:30 am

Thursday's Highway Hotline report is looking much like our last update from last night, though Highway 7 to the Alberta border seems to be reopened after being closed down last night. Looking at the rest of the immediate highways:

  • Highway 7 icy and slippery sections from Rosetown to Saskatoon winter conditions exist
  • Highway 14 travel not recommended
  • Highway 31 & 51 travel not recommended
  • Highway 21 travel not recommended
  • Highway 4 Swift Current to Rosetown - winter conditions exist
  • Highway 4 Rosetown North to Biggar - travel not recommended
  • Highway 44 - winter conditions, slippery sections

Take your time if you need to get anywhere, and wait for the plows to go through. Put off any unnecessary travel today.

Highway 7 from Kindersley to the Alberta Border has been CLOSED due to icy conditions and zero visibility. There is also a semi blocking the road causing one lane traffic.

UPDATE: November 2nd, 2022, 4:15 PM

Travel is not recommended once again on highways around the Kindersley area. This includes Highway 7 from Fiske until the Alberta Border, and Highway 21 from Glidden until Kerrobert. Same goes on Highway 14 from Wilkie until the Alberta Border. 

UPDATE: November 2nd, 2022, 3:30 PM

Roads begin to deteriorate in the West Central region as snow continues to fall. Winter conditions remain, some reduced visibility along with icy and slippery sections, snow drifts and drifting snow are being reported on Highway 7 from Rosetown until to the Alberta border. Highway 21 north of Kindersley to Unity is reporting the same.
