The Town of Kerrobert recently received a generous donation to the Prairieland Community Center from the Prairieland Players.

Recreation Director of Kerrobert Marli Shepherd was ecstatic with the donation.

"The donation is huge. The Prairieland Players does such a good job of putting on some entertainment for the community, and then we have an agreement in place, and they donate all the proceeds to the PCC so, it's wonderful."

$2883.49 was donated in all.

In other news from Kerrobert, the community is looking forward to the Christmas season, as Shepherd explains.

"It's always good to have all decked up for Christmas. I am sure we will back for the Secret Santa for seniors is usually a part of that."

The Festival of Trees will highlight the fun at the Historic Kerrobert Courthouse on December 7. The Memories Tree will make a return to the Festival for anybody that wants to put an angel on the tree in memory of family members or friends who are no longer with us, Shepherd added.

The Courthouse is the place to be in December according to Shepherd.

"It's very festive so, it's a great way for all the groups in the Courthouse to come together and put on a great event."

As for other Kerrobert news, Shepherd shared there will be a Girls Hockey Day being held at the Kerrobert Memorial Arena on November 18, with a full slate of games on tap.
