UPDATE July 13th, 2022, 1:30 pm

Today is Tim Hortons Camp Day. According to their website, 100% of today's proceeds from hot and iced coffee will support sending youth from underserved communities to Tim's Camps.

Country 104's Aaron Harle and Classic Hits Radio's Devin Brown were set up at the Kindersley location from 11 am - 1 pm, and were happy to help serve customers at Tims during that time for the cause!

Tims locations across Saskatchewan were busy today celebrating the terrific promotion that gives kids who may not typically get summertime opportunities the chance of a lifetime. Wherever the store may be, local figures should be present helping raise money through coffee sales, and the other different ways Tims has set up their fundraising this year.

One of those ways to raise money is through a few special pieces of apparel, as since June 29th restaurant guests have been able to purchase a $2 Camp Day motivational bracelet in one of four colours, and also a pair of red and white camp-themed socks for $5, with net proceeds from each donated directly to support Tims Camps.

As seen in the picture above, the Saskatchewan Roughriders did their part in helping out with Camp Day in Regina earlier this week.

West Central Online spoke with one of the Roughriders helpers on the day in Logan Ferland, as he donned his jersey to serve coffee alongside his partner in crime Dan Clark. Ferland talked a bit about his role earlier this week, and what the opportunity meant to him.

"Basically they just wanted us to greet the customers, help prepare as best as we can with the coffee and donuts. Just the simple stuff really. But really just giving camp awareness to the people and maybe explain what it is, and why it's important, and why they should donate."

The injured Clark got a majority of the customers while working the drive-thru window, though Ferland was able to make more sales on the side.

"Actually pretty much all of my customers ended up buying a bracelet so I was pretty lucky with that," shared Ferland, who didn't get a sniff at the drive-thru dominated by Clark, "He just owned the window there. It was a little easier for him to run orders obviously with crutches."

The talent on hand in Kindersley today is just a little less exciting than meeting a Roughrider, but don't be afraid to go on down to Tim Hortons between 11-1 to meet and greet with your favourite morning show hosts from Country 104 and Classic Hits Radio.
