Kindersley Senior Klippers had a play that worked all day. The long pass to Darian Dziurzynski worked on the second attempt, in the first period, and resulted in the first goal of the game.

The younger Dziurzynski was joined by Carson Grolla who put the away team up 2-0 after 20 minutes.

Unity scored first in the second period. Justin Gerein scored on the power play. Gerein, Ganter, and Risling were the second line for Unity and they had a really strong game, as they connected for the Miner's 2nd goal as well. Mark Ganter got a goal with 1 minute left in the second period. It was also a power play goal, and we were at 5-2 for Kindersley after 40 minutes.

Second period goals came from Captain Troy Boisjoli, Djay McGrath, and David Dziurzynski. The Klippers had great vision in this game as they continued to find long outlet passes, and perfect one-time set ups. Kindersley forwards were in behind the Unity defense half a dozen times in the first and second periods. Miner's goalie Ryan Rewarts played a solid game, even in an 8-2 loss, it's worth noting that he made a lot of key saves.

Shots in the third period were 25-5 for the Klippers. That stat alone might tell you how the third period went. A fight broke out at 6:52 as Kindersley's Boisjoli and Unity's Gerein ended up in a scrum after the whistle. Boisjoli got a slashing penalty. The fighting major went to Kindersley's Erickson who came to defend his team captain. Unity's Gerein got a fighting major, and earned instigator and agresser penalties.

Kindersley's Reichert and Unity's Ganter also got game misconducts in the melee.

Three Klipper goals in the 3rd came from Damon McKenzie (2) and David Dziurzynski. The Klippers will go on to face the Mohawks in the second road of League playoffs.

Wilkie Outlaws will face the Edam 3 Stars, on the other side of the SWHL league finals.
