An SJHL player has been suspended indefinitely after an incident on the weekend.

Humboldt Broncos goaltender Jared Picklyk has been charged with refusal to comply with a breath screening following an incident in Humboldt early Saturday morning.

RCMP have reported that they received a call at around 1:25 a.m. Saturday morning. They arrived to find a pickup truck driven by Picklyk had left the roadway and struck a house on 12th Avenue in Humboldt.

The incident occurred after the Broncos had secured a berth in the SJHL semifinals with a series-clinching win over the Nipawin Hawks in game five.

The SJHL announced Monday that Picklyk had been suspended indefinitely and that the league and the Broncos would not be making any further comments on the matter.

Picklyk is scheduled to make an appearance in court in Humboldt on May 8th.
