Another season of minor hockey is back; and teams in every age group from initiation to junior and even the pro's wouldn't be possible without a few key pieces.

Players, coaches, fans, and the often over looked officials are all crucial for the game we love to be played safely and properly.

Local hockey associations are always looking for officials to join their teams. Before becoming an official online modules, classroom time, as well as insurance and fee payments must be done before pulling the black and white striped jersey over your head.

Reffing hockey is an amazing way to keep fit, work on your own schedule and make a pretty penny doing one of the funnest jobs.

Manager of Officiating, Ryan Lundquist says this year, prior to the classroom sessions, the online portions are a little different.

"This year we have mandated that all officials complete two tasks, the online payment, as well as the online modules."

The next Referee clinics are being held October 25th in Rosetown and November 17th in Outlook.

Those that have not paid the online fees or completed the modules will not be allowed to attend the clinic.
