The program, launched in 2009 and based on the Canadian School Physical Education Curriculum is designed for three age groups: Grades 1-5, 6-8 and 9-12. It teaches basic fundamentals, skills and games with safety approved equipment and relevent teaching resources. All while promoting a healthy, fun environment for participants.

Golf in Schools is not only present in Saskatchewan however, it is seen in 2, 400 elementary schools, and 300 high schools all across the country, representing the single most concentrated opportunity to get students off all ages introduced to the game.

New in 2015, Golf Canada partnered with the University of Ottawa to include a Life Skills component throughout all three levels. The element incorporates fundamental skills and values such as respect, perseverance, and honesty.
