On Saturday, the Rosetown Civic Centre filled up with over 100 guests for the Frost the Night Away event!

The event was put on by Rosetown Ladies Night Out, and while it functioned in much the same way as previous years, this time there was a key difference: the men were invited too.

The goal of the event was to raise money for the various youth programs in the Rosetown area, but the primary recipient this year will be the Gasper Family Foundation. The funds from this event will go towards Phase 2 of the Gasper Family Splash Park, which will make it more accessible for families, and also includes several renovation ideas.

Ashley Mollenbeck, who helped to put this event together, expressed her gratitude to those who were able to come by for the night.

“A huge shoutout to all of the attendees, I want to thank them for coming and sponsoring our event. This is 7 years running, and it’s a lot of work putting this event together, so when people come out and enjoy it and appreciate it and give back to the community, it makes it all worthwhile.”

When asked what she enjoyed the most about the event, Mollenbeck said that it was all the little things. Literally.

“The attention to detail that we put into the event is, we go to “level 10!” Even the cuttlery was wrapped with a sprig of Juniper, and a cinnamon stick. It’s like planning a wedding!”

There was also a 50/50 draw that managed to give away two Christmas trees, and entertainment in the form of a comedy improv group from Swift Current.
