Citizens in Rosetown are starting to pay their taxes sooner than they did last year in 2016.

As of June 30th, the town of Rosetown has received over $3.4 million in property taxes, which takes up 86% of the $4.0 million budget set out in 2017, according to the financial reports. At this time last year, the town received up to 84% of it's budget, which makes this year a small improvement.

This is important because people had saved a total of $66,000 in discounts by paying sooner than later.

The town of Rosetown has been capable of covering expenses for the brand new sewage lift station being built by the corner of Main Street and Sixth Avenue. All funds are being used through general accounts without using any borrowed money to help finish the project.

Originally, the goal was to remain in a shot-term investment that stayed at $7,000 dollars and that goal has been accomplished according to the documents. The town originally borrowed $2.6 million for the lift project at the start.
