It will be an all-Kindersley series in the FVBL, as the Kindersley Raiders will play the Kindersley Stallions in a best of three semi-final series.

Game one goes tonight at Berard Field, with the Stallions having home field advantage thanks to their 8-1-1 regular season record. The Raiders, meanwhile, finished third in the league with a 6-4 record.

Raiders player Byron Ismond is looking forward to the series.

“I think it'll be a good series; I think it'll be fun, and it'll be interesting to see how it all shakes out. We're probably like everybody else. We're short a few guys. But I think the Stallions have been in that same boat most of the year as well.”

The Raiders have not played since June 26, and will have to shake off a little rust off to get things rolling against the ponies.

“It's been a bit of a break waiting for the rest of the league to finish up and Eatonia to catch up and settle things out for us. So, we're ready to get out here,” Ismond added.

Both the Raiders and Stallions are hoping for a big turnout for the games being played this week at Berard Field, and Ismond is looking for a bit of revenge, as the Stallions knocked them out in 2019 before the ponies took home the FVBL championship.

“I hope lots of people come out again, we had a good showing last time we met in the playoffs. They took a hiatus and went to the NSRBL for a while. Before they left, they beat us in the (2019) playoffs, so it's time to hopefully get some redemption this year,” Ismond also said.

Game time between the Stallions and the Raiders is 8:00 tonight at Berard Field, with game two slated for 8:30 pm Thursday also on Berard Field.
