Mitch Larock and the 4:54 Band were at "Taking it to the Streets" in Swift Current this past weekend. The local band was happy to be able to see people dancing on the streets and enjoying music once again, as front man Mitch Larock explains.

"The weekend was really good. Swift Current treated well as always down there. It was so nice to see everyone out and no masks on people's faces, you could see them smiling. It was a really good time down there."

They managed to open and share the stage with Canadian rock legends " The Stampeders," and Larock says the experience with the rockers was unforgettable.

"They're awesome. We had a chance to visit them a little bit before hand and they're really down to earth fun guys. They can still play really well, they're awesome, they're a good old rock band."

Larock and the 4:54 Band are still taking bookings moving forward, and they expect to be busy after harvest is done.

"Right now we are actually booking to the end of October, we are trying to get harvest done here. There's lots of stuff going to be happening heading in late fall coming into winter so, we are going to be getting geared up for that," Larock said.
