Local producers and livestock were apart of Canadian Western Agribition and their recent week of events. A few west-central Saskatchewan livestock won Grand Champion awards as shared by the Agribition newsroom.

Beginning with the winner out of Lucky Lake, this year’s Limousin Grand Champion Bull B-BAR RAINMAKER 4K was exhibited by B Bar Cattle in Lucky Lake, SK. That grand champion winner weighed in at 1965 pounds.

The other two winners hailed from Lloydminster. The winning Black Angus Champion Bull was GREENWOOD BEAUTY JJP 58H exhibited by Jayden and Jaxon Payne, and then Lloydminster producers also claimed the Simmental Grand Champion Purebred Female, the winning animal being GVR MISS PEPPA 21J exhibited by Black Gold Simmentals.

Double B Cattle Co. out of Unity also saw some strong representation locally in the Limousin category, finishing first in six of nine events entered.
