The Kindersley Jr. A Klippers held a special Calcutta shootout as part of parent's weekend at the WCEC.

Every player from top to bottom on the roster got to take three shots, one against each goaltender, and the other against a special mystery goaltender. Also included in the shooting list was mystery shooter, and Assistant GM and Director of Player Personnel, Ryan Gibson.

The big winner from the evening was Keenan Ingram, who beat rookie Luke Schraeder in the final round. Third place went to center Brock Evans. Cody Jaman let in the least goals in the shootout at 10, just edging out Logan Falk, who yielded 11 goals.

Looking at the games against the Ice Wolves, things started off well for the Klippers as they built a 4-1 lead in Friday night's affair. Scoring for Kindersley was Logan Cox with his 7th, Keenan Ingram with his 12th, Logan Linklater with his 8th, and Brock Evans with his 3rd of the season. But it was all La Ronge after the halfway point of the game, as Parker Layton, Kale Taylor, Mason Bueckert, Jacob Cossette and Raine Hodge lit the lamp for the Ice Wolves to build a 6-4 lead. Kindersley got one late, as Keenan Ingram got his second of the game with three seconds to go, but La Ronge held on for the 6-5 win.

Looking at Saturday's game, things started off good for Kindersley once again, as Tylin Hilbig took advantage of a fortuitous bounce off a La Ronge defender from an Austin Osiowy centering attempt and scored his 12th of the season to make it 1-0. But La Ronge tied the score less than two minutes later on a great individual effort by Cole Thomas, as he walked around the Kindersley defense and beat Cody Jaman to make it 1-1.

Moving into the second period, La Ronge struck early, with Jacob Cossette scoring his second in two games, and 11th of the season to give the Ice Wolves a 2-1 lead. Then just shy of the halfway point of the second, Cole Thomas got his second of the night, and third of the season, deflecting in a Rylan Silzer shot to make it 3-1.

The third saw no scoring until late in the period, as Klippers captain Logan Linklater got his 9th of the season to make it 3-2 with just under five minutes left in regulation. Kindersley pressed but could not get the equalizer, and with just over a minute left, Mason Bueckert found the empty net for his 9th of the season, to give the Ice Wolves a 4-2 lead which they would not relinquish.
