The latest from the Kindersley RCMP is informing the public about some staffing changes at the local detachments front counter.

According to their recent report, due to expected short term staffing shortages at the front counter, the Kindersley RCMP is requesting the public only attend the office on Thursdays of every week for criminal record checks effective March 16th.

That's once a week taking place every Thursday, as members of the public can have their checks done between the hours of 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on that day of the week. They are working on hiring a new staff member and will have an update ready when possible for resuming the expanded days for record checks.

Kindersley RCMP appreciate the public’s understanding during this process, as in addition to these in-house changes, between March 6-12th police responded to 24 calls for service. More information is available by contacting the local detachment, as the calls included, but were not limited to, two wellbeing checks, one impaired driving complaint, and a pair of traffic collisions.
