SHSAA volleyball is heating up. Girls provincials are getting underway Friday afternoon around Saskatchewan, and boys regionals are set for Saturday.
It's the grand stage for senior girls volleyball teams who battled their way through conferences and regionals the past few weeks.

Girls Volleyball
2A
The Macklin Sabres senior girls team will be in St. Walburg and Turtleford for 2A provincials. Macklin joins Wakaw, Davidson, Foam Lake and the hosts as part of Pool A. Teams in Pool B consist of Rocanville, Wadena, Langham, Gravelbourg, and Carrot River.
Macklin will be taking on Wakaw in the first game of the tournament Friday at 12:00 PM. The Sabres next action after that goes at 3:00 Friday afternoon against Foam Lake. After that the 2A hopefuls will lineup against Davidson Friday night at 6:00 PM, before ending the round robin against St. Walburg on Saturday at 11:00 AM.
The playoff round will start Saturday afternoon, with the champions being named after the gold medal game at 5:30.
3A
The Unity Warriors senior girls have fought their way into provincials this weekend in Indian Head and Wolseley. Unity is in Pool B with Oxbow, Carnduff, Shellbrook, and the host team Indian head. Pool A is headlined by Lanigan, Kiping, Waldheim, Maple Creek, and Osler VCA.
Unity and Oxbow will kick the tournament off with a game at noon on Friday. After that Unity will face Shellbrook at 3:00 PM, and then at 6:00 PM Unity meets up with Carnduff. The Warriors will then play in the final round-robin game Saturday morning at 11:00 AM against Indian Head in Wolseley.
That will move things into the playoff round beginning at 12:30, culminating with the championship rounds Saturday evening in Indian Head.
