The Iron Horse Kindersley Klippers were back on the ice for the first of 5 consecutive home games last night at the WCEC.

Kindersley got out to quick start as defenseman Hunter Larocque found his scoring touch with 2 in the first including a nice end to end rush on his first.

Kindersley built the lead to 3-0 on a goal by Scott McKenzie just over 3 minutes into the second, but Humboldt battled back to tie the game at 3 with 2 goals on the power play for good measure.

There was no scoring in the third period and for the second consecutive time, the two teams headed to overtime. The Klippers once again came out on top in the extra session on McKenzie's second of the night, and took the game 4-3.

Kindersley will be back on the ice on Friday against the Melville Millionaires at 7:30. The Klippers sit 3 points out of the 8th and final playoff spot heading into play this weekend.
