The 2016 fishing season is underway in Saskatchewan. The government of Saskatchewan is reminding boaters this year to clean, drain and dry your boat. Doing this helps stop aquatic invasive species from posing a threat to our waters and fish resources. New for 2016 is the Iskwatikan Lake is now a catch and release lake. This lake is located in the central region of the province.

Hunting, angling and trapping licenses are available through HAL, that's the government's hunting, angling and trapping license system. Licenses are available anytime online at http://www.environment.gov.sk.ca/licences/

Licenses are also available through private issuers, the Ministry of Environment, select provincial park offices, or by phone using a credit card at 1-855-848-4773 between the hours of 8 am and 9 pm. If you require assistance in purchasing a license you can also call 1-855-848-4773.
