The Town of Eston held their Regular Town Council Meeting on Wednesday.

Among the discussions on the agenda included:

  • The recreation board will be investigating a concern into the accessibility of the pool entrance.
  • Two resignations were acknowledged during the meeting.  The resignations of Superintendent of Public Works Chris Hill as of June 18th, 2016, and the Recreation Director Amanda Wallace as of July 1st, 2016.
  • The Public Works and Administration Reports were both presented and accepted.
  • Town Council carried a motion to add the Employee and Family Assistance Program to the Councillor Benefits Package, with the Town paying 100% of the premium.

New business that was brought up:

  • The painting of the Eston Elevator
  • The permit for the demolition of a garage was approved, and two home building permits were approved subject to an inspection.
  • A tree was approved for removal on the boulevard at 239 3rd Ave SW

The next meeting of Eston Town Council will take place May 25th, 2016.
