High school badminton is entering it's final stretch of competition. Sectionals being held this week will cement the competitors lining up for singles, doubles, and mixed play this weekend for juniors in Rosetown, and seniors at LCBI High School in Outlook.

Beginning with the juniors, Saturday's districts in Rosetown are the end of the road for the season. Players in each division who qualified from sectionals will be taking on other athletes from inside the West Central District Athletic Association for the chance to be named district champions.

Shifting over to the seniors, whoever comes out on top this weekend in Outlook will move onto regionals. As part of "Series A", the west-central winner will be in Rosetown on May 4 to compete against athletes out of the south-west, south-central, and central-valley regions.

Qu'Appelle Valley, Foam Lake, and Meadow Lake are the other locations for regionals. The senior players that come out on top in their respective regionals will earn themselves a spot in provincials, taking place May 11 in Nipawin at L.P. Miller Comprehensive School.
