A special fundraiser dinner is coming up in Rosetown on Tuesday. Rosetown residents who bought tickets for the Rosetown Kid Kare "Dinner with the Director" will be treated to a taco in a bag, complete with a full evening of information regarding the yet-to-be built childcare facility in town.

Kailyn Graves is the new director at Rosetown Kid Kare. Graves is a longtime Rosetown resident who is looking for a new challenge within the community, and should be looking forward to speaking with the community in a new capacity tonight.

Kelsey Wickenhauser is the fundraising lead for Kid Kare, and shared more on Tuesday's dinner fundraiser.

"Come meet our new director, and see all the exciting events that are going to be happening with the start of the new build at the Rosetown Kid Kare facility." said Wickenhauser, as auction items and the meal proceeds should help out nicely. "Help raise and reach our goal for the fundraising."

A few tickets may be available at the door for tonight's event, but if you are just looking to help-out with the cause, Wickenhauser says they are always accepting donations. Fun events on tap for the summer will also help out with the project.

"We are definitely wrapping up our fundraising here, as we are hoping to be breaking ground next month on the facility." said Wickenhauser. "There are some exciting plans coming down the pipeline here that we are hoping to announce in the next few weeks, on ways that the community and people can help participate in raising (money) for a facility for young kids to enjoy."

Tuesday's event is being held at their current space inside the Rosetown Civic Centre. Attendees will get a chance to see what's going on at the current facility, along with renderings of what the new building and surrounding space will look like.

Anyone who can't make it to Tuesday's event should know that more information is coming soon. Once Kid Kare officially shares their plans tonight, the wheels should be in motion as early as tomorrow, to organize the groundbreaking in May.

"It is exciting, and it will be happening soon. And then hopefully in about a year and a half, we can open the doors there."
