After the Denzil Sacred Heart Church was the target of a break and enter at the end of May, the Denzil Cemetery has now become the most recent mark for criminal activity. In the recent RCMP report, it outlined officers received a complaint of an individual damaging a monument at the Denzil Cemetery, the instance which happened last week, is still under investigation.

Unity RCMP also received a call reporting two separate instances of fires that broke out along the train tracks near Tramping Lake. RCMP stated that in both occurrences, the fire was extinguished by the Unity Fire Department and police attendance was not required.

Officers are also still investigating two reports of fraud from the Unity area.

Wilkie and Macklin RCMP did not have any major crimes to report over the course of last week. A hit and run was called in, however, there was not sufficient evidence to proceed. Other calls that went unfounded included a complaint of criminal harassment in Wilkie and a complaint of theft in Macklin.

UNITY REPORTS
• CN Police reported a train blocking Highway 374 near Scott. Reported for information purposes.
• CN Police reported a railway crossing malfunction in Unity. Reported for information purposes.
• RCMP received a complaint of fraud. This matter is still under investigation.
• Members are investigating another complaint of fraud.
• Police received a noise complaint. Members contacted the subject of complaint and issued a warning.
• Members conducted a wellbeing check at the request of a family member.
• Police received a report of disturbing the peace. Members spoke with the complainant and the subject of complaint.
• There were also two traffic complaints and two false 911 calls.

WILKIE REPORTS
• RCMP received a report of an individual drawing a chalk outline near the Wilkie Post Office. Not criminal in nature. No police action required.
• Members received a request from another Detachment to conduct a local check for a person reported missing.
• RCMP received a complaint of theft. This matter is still under investigation.
• There was an animal complaint in Wilkie. Members spoke with the complainant.

MACKLIN REPORT
• RCMP received a noise complaint. Members spoke with the subject of complaint.
• Members received another noise complaint. Members attended and warned the subject of complaint.
• There was also one traffic complaint and one false 911 call.
