The SJHL's Bantam Draft took place this past week and the Kindersley Klippers were able to aquire some talent for the future.

With their first pick, 8th overall in the draft the Klippers drafted forward Tye Spencer.  Spencer a 2004 born player was dynamite for the Saskatoon Maniacs Bantam AA team last year, putting up 92 points in 31 games, with 59 goals.  He had a total of 118 points in 62 Bantam appearances.

The Klippers next pick didn't come until the 4th round, when Kindersley chose forward Marshall Erichsen 45th overall.  Born in Regina, Erichsen had 23 points in 23 games last year.

It didn't take long for the Klippers to pick again, taking another forward in the 5th round, 50th overall, in Matthew Ripplinger who has 58 points in 57 Bantam games to date.

Rounding out the draft the Klippers selected defenceman Hunter Mayo of the Martensville Mauraders, 57th overall (Mayo had 48 points in 28 games played last season) and goaltender Brayden Schenstead (Schestead played 17 games with the Warman Wildcats last season).
