The Town of Luseland is celebrating a key part of the community this weekend.

The Luseland Credit Union officially turned 60 years old earlier this summer, and many people who have been along for the ride should be arriving in the community for the anniversary celebration.

Over their six decades of ever-changing business, one constant has been their community support. The financial institution has no problem donating money to local groups who need it. One of their biggest accomplishment over the years has to be providing summer refreshment through the Luseland Credit Union Community Swimming Pool.

Outside of that big project, Marketing Coordinator with the Luseland Credit Union Angela Reiter recalled their most notable work over the past two years through an official release.

"Some of the larger donations presented by LCU in 2022 and 2023 included $10,000 to the Pioneer Haven resident living quarters renovation project, the remaining $14,259 of a $25,000 donation to the Luseland Legion Park playground equipment project, $5,000 to the Luseland Pioneer Club for boiler repairs, $15,000 to the Luseland Salvador Homecoming Hall boiler replacement, $5,000 to the Town of Kerrobert Helipad project, $3,000 to the Kids in The Kitchen after school program, and over $18,000 to various sports programs in the area."

That's just the beginning of their presence in the community. Reiter and the LCU team wouldn't have it any other way.

"LCU staff volunteer their time throughout our community. We also support local organizations with their various endeavors and are proud to call ourselves a member of the community."
