Canada Post has stated that although they are not anticipating any delivery disruptions due to the current pandemic, measures are being put into place to aid in the fight against the spread of the virus.

In a letter from Canada Post's president and CEO, it was stated that along with eliminating signatures on parcels, locations are also changing their hours.

Canada Post is reserving the first hour of operations for residents who are vulnerable to the coronavirus as communities work to enforce social distancing to have a greater impact on flattening the curve and reducing the number of residents who contract the virus.

Additionally, post offices will be open two hours less, as they will be opening one hour later and closing one hour earlier than normal.

Even while picking up and dropping off items for delivery, it is essential that residents practice the proper social distancing precautions and hygiene protocols while communities work together to reduce the spread of COVID-19.
