The U15 West Central Wheats took a break from league play last weekend to join 31 other teams at the Graham Tuer U15 Challenge in Regina. West Central was in the Jordan Eberle Division with Warman, Saskatoon, and Fraser Valley.

The Wheat Kings were 0-1-1 headed into the second day of the tournament Friday where they would finish the round robin schedule with a 5-1 loss to the team from BC. That sent West Central into the knockout round where they faced the Saskatoon Generals and lost by a score of 8-4.

Cruz Loehndorf led the team in scoring with six points in four games. Darian Lowe and Graydon Neumeier each finished with five points, and Kaine Thiessen and Taylor Neumeier both finished with four points to round out the point-per-game players.

The Regina Pat Blue were the tournament's big winners, defeating the Airdrie Xtreme 4-3 in Sunday's final.
