Both the police and public are still looking for answers following gunshots in the community of Major early Sunday morning.

Kindersley RCMP are continuing to investigate after multiple shots from a firearm were discharged, managing to strike a residence in the west-central community. SGT. Kevin Peterson confirmed that non life-threatening injuries were treated at the scene.

A member of the public messaged the newsroom with an anonymous tip confirming the two shots that were heard in Major, and that police arrived on scene at 3:00 AM, remaining there until about 4:00 PM. The news-tip also shared that the house was the subject of a police raid just a few months ago, located near the former Major school, describing the property owner as a, "known thief and drug dealer".

Reaching out to the detachment for any new information, Peterson shared that they are seeking anything they can get related to Sunday's call-out.

"This remains an active investigation with our office. We are continuing to work on this, and as always we invite the public if they have any information to call us at the detachment, or Crime Stoppers." stated Peterson, who encourages the community to report any suspicious activity they may come across. "It's a message we get out quite regularly, but if members of the public see something that doesn't belong in their neighbourhood to always remain vigilant, and if they see a suspicious person or vehicle they aren't too sure about, to give us a call at 310-RCMP. A member will certainly come out and investigate, and have a look at what's going on."
