The Elrose Lioness group recently gave a monetary donation to the Rosetown Food Bank.

Normally, Elrose Lioness would have held a food drive this year, but due to COVID, they decided it would be safer just to lend a hand to a different food bank.

While the Lioness Club had $300 all ready to go, thanks to donations from the generous community, they were able to give $1,265. Well beyond their expectations.

Amanda Hartman, who is a member of the elrose Lioness, expressed her gratitude.

“I think that it’s good that our community is willing to donate such a large amount to the Rosetown food Bank when they are in need, so it’s nice to see everybody do something like that.”

While their annual food drive had to be cancelled this year, Hartman said that they are hoping to be able to do it again next spring.
