The Junior Kindersley Klippers organization had a busy weekend during Kindersley's 47th annual Goose Festival.

The Klippers were once again apart of the annual parade down main street.

The main attraction of the weekend was the NHL & Klipper Alumni game. The game which featured NHL and Klipper alumni lacing the skates up alongside local participants was the 2nd of it's kind, with last year marking the first edition.  NHL, Klipper alumni and locals were split into two teams coached by Terry Shea and Larry Wintoneak.

Fans were treated to a high scoring game that saw Team Wintoneak get ahead by a score of 6-2 at one point.  However, Team Shea mounted the comeback and were able to end the game in a draw with the final score of 8-8.

NHLer's Richie Regehr, Robyn Regehr, Colin Patterson, Greg Paslawski and Curtis Glencross all made it onto the scoresheet, but it was Team Wintoneak's dynamic duo of the Glencross brothers who stole the show, with Matt getting a hat-trick on the night.  Joel McDonald and John Thiessen both recorded two goals for Team Shea.

After the game the NHLers hit the stage for the 2nd NHL Alumni Hot Stove.  Curtis Sackville hosted the panel who once again shared tales of the NHL and life as a hockey player with the crowd of close to two hundred people.

The weekend finished with the NHL Skills Camp on Sunday.  West Central Saskatchewan kids had the opportunity to learn from the pros.
