West Central Saskatchewan experienced the first snow fall of the season Sunday afternoon. While snowfall was light to start, overnight the region saw significant flurries and snow, making highway driving difficult.
Snow will gradually taper off today as the low pressure system responsible moves off to the east. A further 2 to 5 cm can be expected, mainly this morning.
Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow. Take frequent breaks and avoid strain when clearing snow.

Road conditions are also expected to worsen overnight with some parts of the province already under a travel not recommended advisory.
