The Western Prairie Jr. Klippers are coming off a weekend exhibition against the Outlook Jr. Ice Hawks, and following their second ever game that resulted in a 3-3 tie, the Klippers added a pair of players.

The Klippers had their eye on each end of the ice looking at their newest players unveiled Wednesday morning. In a series of announcements the team introduced Saskatoon's Caelie Illerburn and Kenzie Swiftwolfe from Moosomin First Nation.

Looking back to Sunday, the Klippers travelled to Outlook and battled the Ice Hawks in what was a tight affair between two teams geared up and ready to go for the inaugural season of Saskatchewan Junior Female Hockey League team play.

Scoring for the Klippers was Kerrobert's Bree Halter and Plenty's Laiken Swan, and getting the other goal was Kiawa Leight. Outlook got two goals from Brooklynne Francon, and the other was scored by McKenna Nameth.

A few more moves could still be made as the league gets ready to kick-off. The Western Prairie Klippers will open the regular season on October 15 at home against the Lumsden Lynx.
