The Western Prairie Jr. Klippers welcomed the Outlook Ice Hawks to the WCEC for a special Remembrance Day game Saturday night at the WCEC.

The Klippers, who were in search of their first win of the season, came out hungry in this one, with Laiken Swan scoring her fourth of the season to give the team a 1-0 lead. The assists went to Kolbie Parker and Ashtyn LaClare. The Klippers kept coming and scored another one just 51 seconds later, as Caelie Illerbrun started her big day scoring on a breakaway to double the lead. The assist on the goal went to captain Mia Tough. The Illerbrun got her second, this time on the powerplay to make the score 3-0. The goals gave her three on the season.

The second period saw Lashanti Iron tapping in a two foot goal, thanks to a splendid individual effort by Swan to find Iron at the side of the net to make the score 4-0. The goal was Iron's first of the season.

The third period saw the Klippers get one more, this time by Kiana Leicht, her first of the season, with the assists going to Bridgette Vedress, and Illerbrun. This made the score 5-0 and that is the way things ended at the WCEC. Not to be forgotten in this game was the great goaltending of Eston native Rilyn Roadhouse, who made 22 saves for the shutout, with most of them being tough chances.

The two teams will once again renew acquaintances on November 18, this time in Kerrobert for a special 7:30 game wrapping up Female Hockey Day in the community.
