According to a release, over the past 4 months of curling, Saskatchewan women's teams have been battling in tour events across the country for berths into the Viterra Scotties Tournament of Hearts being held in Assiniboia, January 5-9

The provincial curling event will determine the Team Saskatchewan representative for the Scotties Tournament of Hearts beginning on January 28th in Thunder Bay, ON

Here is a list of the teams that will be vying for that spot:

SaskCTRS Leaderboard:
1. Team Barker (Moose Jaw Ford Curling Centre, Moose Jaw)
2. Team Englot (Highland Curling Club, Regina)
3. Team Barber (Biggar Curling Club, Biggar)
4. Team Mitchell (Sutherland Curling Club, Saskatoon)

Curling Canada's CTRS:
5. Team Carey (Highland Curling Club, Regina)
6. Team Holland (Kronau Curling Club, Kronau)
7. Team Silvernagle (Twin Rivers Curling Club, North Battleford)
8. Team Anderson (Martensville Curling Club, Martensville)

The remaining teams (9-12) will qualify through the Viterra Last Chance Event December 17-19, 2021 held at the Highland Curling Club, and will be an 11 team triple-knockout event.

The twelve teams will then compete in Assiniboia, January 5-9, 2022 in a self-seeded Triple Knockout Event, followed by a four-team page-playoff.

The favourites headed in have to be former Scotties representatives, the rinks of Sherry Anderson and Robyn Silvernagle.

Those are some familiar names on that list, but one interesting one sees a west central participant. Team Barber out of the Biggar Curling Club will have a chance to represent the province if they can show out in the new year.
