The latest showcase from the Sun West School Division had some prehistoric flair.

Lyndon Alto is a Grade 7 student at Lucky Lake School who recently attended the Saskatchewan Legislature to be recognized as part of a group of dino-hunters. Tammy Alto, his mother and also a Sun West Educational Assistant, was also present for the big day.

The two are part of a group founded in 2017, that was sparked by the discovery of fossils around Lake Diefenbaker. The club was started by Jon Ganshorn of Martensville and his daughter Lily, and Lyndon and Tammy were among its first and most active members according to the Sun West release.
