A cold weekend waits for us as a weather system is set to hit west central Saskatchewan once more.

With cold winds blowing through for the next few days, Meteorologist Terri Lang warns that an expected weather system thought to be moving through late Saturday. This storm from the northwest will bring with it a reason to stay at home. Sunday will be the stormiest day, with high winds and lots of blowing snow. Temperatures as of reporting are to drop to minus 14 and 16 without the wind.

With the sudden and extreme weather coming just after large melting, travel will be risky.

This is following a brief warm period yesterday, seeing temperatures get as high as plus six in the sun.
