To no one's surprise, Regina Pats superstar Connor Bedard headlined the Central Scouting North American ranking for 2023 NHL Draft after 143 points in 57 games this season. That translated over to a strong playoff, as Bedard put up 20 points in 7 games against the Saskatoon Blades.

Still, it didn't translate to team success, as Vaughn Watterodt and the higher seeded Blades were taken to the limit, but eventually won the 7-game series on home ice.

Well, some scouts must have been watching his shifts against the top ranked player, as Watterodt himself cracked the final rankings list for the 2023 NHL draft. An impressive regular season along with seven points in the first round didn't hurt his case either as he joined two of his teammates on the list.

Congrats Vaughn!
